SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accounting Manager for a high-impact, high-visibility role in our client’s Finance and Accounting organization.  This role partners and collaborates with Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, IT, and Sales to collect and incorporate all aspects of financial and operating information to lead the monthly general ledger close and financial reporting processes. This role will provide technical accounting and operation guidance to global closing activities, while also mentoring US and international staff in the closing, consolidation and reporting processes. Full-time, on-site position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Lead, analyze and review all elements of month-end, quarterly and annual general ledger closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliation.

·         Draft and prepare technical accounting whitepapers for unique transactions including M&A implications, special contracts and other transactions.

·         Support quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosure processes for SEC filings and serve as the primary liaison to external and internal audit activities.

·         Oversee global revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606, including performance obligations, rebates, credits, rights of return, distributor arrangements, etc.

·         Maintain revenue recognition policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.

·         Oversee worldwide cost accounting for all elements of manufacturing and operations support, while ensuring accurate standard costing, variance analysis, and margin reporting.

·         Lead worldwide Oracle installs, related business information systems and AI / automation tools to improve process efficiencies.

·         Manage development plans and mentor accounting staff in the US and abroad.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA a plus.

      8+ years of audit and accounting experience, including minimum 5 years in public accounting.

      Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and inventory/cost accounting.

      Hands-on experience with Oracle, and with supporting a global close process in a public company, preferred.

      Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and manage complex accounting issues.

      Strong attention to detail, with high degree of accuracy; strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

      Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively and independently under tight deadlines.
